Selective Information

Paolo Pellegrin, a photographer for the Magnum photo agency has said:
“I’m more interested in a photography that is ‘unfinished’ - a photography that is suggestive and can trigger a conversation or dialogue. There are [other] pictures that are closed, finished, to which there is no way in.”
In his whole oeuvre nowhere is this statement seen more than in his images of women in conflict zones.
(Photos quoted in this post were taken Iraq and Darfur and are tumbled from look3.org, The Guardian and Darfur Darfur)
